I spent the rest of my day on the highway, heading straight to Sicily. Crossing the Messina strait takes a bit less than one hour, with one of the regular ferries. Unluckily for me, the weather was still cloudy and I couldn t see the Etna from mainland Italy. So the next day, I exited Taormina still waiting to see it.
